Dr, can pregnant link to kidney failure?

February 27, 2008

Yes; especially in men. Please discuss this important and often over-looked mechanism of male factor infertility with your reproductive endocrinologist.

Best.

Dr, how about women? Will pregnancy women gets kidney failure during &/or after give birth?

February 28, 2008

Very unlikely in most pregnancies, unless complicated by some high risk states, such as Gestational Hypertension, Sepsis...

Some women with Kidney failure it has been reported have gotten pregnant while on dialysis, but usually with poor outcomes..

Its not that pregnancy can cause kidney failure but kidney failure can contribute to infertility.

Best wishes.

Dr.Berkley how soon can a woman get pregnant after a miscarriage I am worried

March 13, 2008

Jan Dale, a woman can try to get pregnant after a natural miscarriage. This depends on how far u were in ur pregnancy. If u were pregnant for just a week or so, u will resume ur cycle immediately, but if it were a few weeks into ur pregnancy, then it can take a while for ur harmones to go back to normal. Then u can TTC after u get ur periods.

If u were given medication to cause a miscarriage like in an ectopic then u may have to wait a couple of months for the medicine to get completely out of ur system.

most of the time, Ob/Gyn's when a pregnancy was far along may say about 3months, and this is an ok strategy when a pregnancy reached the second trimester..

Only way to know now would be to check an hpt..
