ok. i just didnt know if they could tell the difference of a 7 week and a 9 or 10 week baby in an u/s. i was just really worried that it could be off all the way back to dec.19. and dont you most usually get pregnant a couple of days before ovulation and not as likely a couple of days before your period? i know sperm can live for a couple of days but i didnt think that it really made since for it to get me pregnant from when i did it b/c like i say i was having my period and all of the lining and everything was being shed. tell me if im wrong but thats what i was thinking.

i had intercourse on december the 19th and i took plan b on the morning of december the 21st. i was expecting my period in 2 or 3 days and it did start on december the 22nd and lasted for about 5 days. well after my period stopped i had intercourse again and it was pretty often at the end of december and all through jan. well on jan 23 i was just curious and took a home pregnancy test. it was positive but very faint so i went to the health department on jan 30th and it was positive so i made an appointment with my ob doctor for feb.18th and at that appointment the ultrasound said i was 7 weeks and 1 day. the lady who was doing the u/s said i wasnt as far alond as she thought i would be so i was wondering if the plan b had made me ovulate late after my period since i took it right when i was expecting my period. and can they tell the difference between a 7 week baby and a 9 or 10 week baby in an early u/s. and also is there really any way i got pregnant from the act on december the 19th?
Since u got ur period Dec 22, I dont think u could have gotten preggo due to the act on Dec 19th. You are absolutely right. U have to have sex around ovulation and also, u get ur period 14 days after ovulation. Congratulations on ur pregnancy and there are a lot of preggo women on here who share their journey with everyone else So keep us posted
thank you. i have been worrying myself sick about it even though nothing is adding up to dec.19. i still just keep thinking well "what if" the u/s was off and "what if" this or that. i hate it. and even if they would have kept my due date at september 28th would it add up to dec.19th then or would it still be unlikely.sorry to ask again but i didnt put that in the post before and i was just wondering.and also, cant they still get really close to how far along you are with an u/s even if you didnt remember your last period?
U/S is pretty accurate when done after the fetal pole is seen at around 6-8 weeks. U could be off by a max of 4-6 days. SO, if that doesnt put u around Dec 19th then I would relax. U/S cant be off by weeks in the 1st Tri. U dont need to know ur last period for Ultrasound dating. Thas purley based on fetal size.
