Possible to still be pregnant, with 6 days late for my period

I am now 6 days late for my period which is very regular sometimes just a tad early. I have been experiencing almost every pregnancy symptom you can think of from frequent urination, to sore nipples, and every thing in between. I have taken two home pregnancy tests, which came back negative, and I just had a blood test done at that as well was negative. Is it at all possible that I could still be pregnant? I am still taking BC pills, but that is the only medication I take. The possible conception dates were during a week that I was completely off the pill with no alternative protection. Are all of my symptoms occuring b/c I was off the pill for that week and my body is adjusting to that where maybe my period will now come a week later than normal or can I still be pregnant? I'm an emotional mess b/c this has never happened to me so now I am very concerned. I have two daughters and when I was late for my preiod with them, my tests were positive. I'm going crazy. Should I just stop worrying about being pregant even though despite the tests, I still think I am?

if the test returning back not preggo then you are sadly not preggo

are you still taking the bcp?

Yes, I am still on the pill. What happened was that my prescription ran out and I was completely off te pill for exactly 7 days until I got my new prescription. During that time period, my boyfriend and I had sex several times during that week with no other protection. Any ideas why period is so late and why I'm experiencing these symptoms?

most likely with you starting the pill later and with the horomones that it has just got your system messed up. you might want to stop the bcp and see if your period starts again and when it does return to the pill and use another form of birth control until it gets all sorted out. if it doesn't return in 2 wks time time to retest with a hpt or beta

you do have a risk of being preggo because your ovaries could have had a follice maturing and even with bcp the protection rate isn't 100%... might take about 2 wks to know or longer

So should I wait a bit and take another hpt? When do you think a good time to do so would be? I have read that for some women...both hpt and blood tests all show negative until 8 or 9 weeks into pregnancy so this of course only has me more confused. Thanks for the advice so far:)

all depends if you ovualted with this break of not taking the pill and that cannot be determine per the net. you can stop with the pill and get an examine with your dr and they can check for ovulation and you will have to wait it out approx 12dpo to 14dpo you can tell if preggo. this is an different situation and I would advise you to see your dr and check for ovulation and just have to wait it out and use a back up for birth control until you know.

well the reason why people don't get a bfp on a hpt all depends on ovulation. When ovulation happens one period is due about 14 days later. So that is very untrue in all cases. However in your situation will you not taking the pill as directed I cannot say because I it's just not clear. Best to see your dr and they can run some test and will have to wait it out and see what happens if you have ovulated then you should know in about 2 wks. Even with taking the pill there is about a 97% success rate with the pill.

Thanks again for your suggestions! I actually have an annual exam scheduled for this wednesday so maybe I can talk to the dr. then and see if I can find out anything more. Whatever is meant to be will be. I've just been a bit more concerned since this never happened with either of my daughters and the only two times I've ever been late with my menstrual cycle was when I was pregnant with each of them. Anyway....thanks again, I appreciate it.
