Placenta Previa
February 09, 2008
I'm 25 weeks now and at my 20 week u/s the doc said I have a marginally low-lying placenta. He said it should correct itself and I need another u/s at 30 - 34 weeks (I'm hoping later rather than sooner to give it more time to correct itself). Had a little spotting when I wiped on Jan. 1st and then on Feb. 4th. This makes me think it's still low-lying. Is there anything I can do to help the placenta to correct itself? Back in Dec., my doc said exercise is good for the placenta. I am physically active and exercise about 3 - 5 times per week (walking, modified step aerobics, light yoga, prenatal pilates). Then I read in late pregnancy exercise is not good for placenta previa. Please advise...thank you!
P.S. Ladies, I have not forgotten about you all! I don't have as much time to get on here and respond to posts, but I still get on when I have a chance to stay updated with everyone. You're still in my thoughts and prayers. Love and hugs to all!!!

When placentas are low lying this early on, they do correct themselves as the uterus keeps on growing and increases the muscle tissue below it, making it seems that it moves away from the cervix and this happens on its own...
It's ok to do moderate exercise for the most part, especially if your doc ok'd your present condition...
