Period - CD1??

bump...i need to know when to start my clomid ;)

Hi! My RE told me to count the first FULL FLOW day as CD..I too started sorta the day before but only when I wipe (sorry TMI). I hope that helps! GOod luck and babydust!

BabyQuestions-

My doctor told me that when I got red/red blood to count that as day 1

She said pink spotting or brown spotting is not good enough to count as cd 1

When you say VERY dark- do you mean Brown? or dark red? if it's the same color as what "normal" flow would be I would count it! If it's brown or pink I would say hold off a day or two and see if red comes.

When I was put on progesterone back in January my period right after that was not "normal" full flow- so you may not get the "normal" amount of flow.

It is like BLACK and then on the toilet paper there are parts that are blood red...and its definitely more than spotting! a pad is needed, but its not "red full flow" ...but i don't know what to count since I haven't bleed since they did the d&c

BUT... I do know what you mean! I had that too after my D & C. I bet within a day or two you will get FULL flow.

I guess I just don't understand the difference...I am having as heavy of a flow as I usually get, but its just not bright red. So do I go with the color or how heavy it is?

Hun if you are not sure I'd call your doctor. I didn't realize that you were getting full flow- I thought it was still less than full flow. Def. call your doctor, he/she should be able to tell you for sure. If you call tomorrow and your MD says to count it as cd1- then you would be on cd2, and you don't start clomid until cd 3 or later (depending on what days your doctor says).

Okay---I talked to the nurse and now i am WAY MORE CONFUSED!!!! she said the first day is full flow red blow with no clots...that NEVER happens to me! I have dark clots throughout my whole period...SO WHEN IS CD 1????? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!! :)

Baby.. I have never heard of that. Some ppl have clots like me and when I have to wear a pad or tampon then that is CD1. My fertility doc has also said the same thing. CD1 is full flow when u have to wear something.

SO Im not sure why ur doc said that to u. IF u had to wear a tampon or pad and change it b/c it was full then that was CD1 for u.

What day are u taking ur clomid this cycle?

I am supposed to start on day 3, but i don't know if today is day 2, day 1, or i haven't even started!!!???? I definitely could not have worn nothing yesterday or today! WHEN DO I START CLOMID!?!?

BabyQ.. if u could not have worn anything today or yesterday then thats not full flow. U have to wear something to be able to change it for that to be full flow.

As soon as that happens then that will be CD1 for u.

I took my Clomid on CD3 too so we shall see.

i have been wearing panty liners and have to change them every couple of hours...but i havent wanted to wear a tampon so i can tell what is happening, but i dont get much heavier than this!

Then I would say that is full flow for u if its the same as every other month then.

If u have the same thing as the others then this would be considered as full flow for u and ur having to change it every few hours. R u having clots too? Or is that different this month?

Wow ur lucky that u only have to wear panty liners when u get AF. I have to wear big pads b/c I bleed alot with alot of clots.

unfortunately i usually put in a tampon at the first sight of AF, so i am actually not really sure...but it is coming regularly, but with clots and (TMI,TMI!!!) dark red ewcm

...i just don't want to take clomid too early or too late!
