hi can you tell me a little more of ur experience with the iui im having one and im kind of scared

I am 35 years old and was diagnosed with PCOS 6 years ago. I went through three years of fertility treatment before becoming pregnant with my daughter. I went through all the ups and downs that most people go through with fertility issues and came out successful. I got pregnant using IUI on the first try which is very lucky,but ended up in the Dr's office just at the six week mark bleeding and miscarring one of which we then found out was three babies. I was put on bead rest immediatley and found my self miscarring again the next day number two. One baby left. Which I happily gave birth to 12-16-05.

I apologize for not get back to you quicker I've been busy and haven't had time to check my mail. As you probably know by now IUI doesn't hurt. Don't be nervous, at your age the IUI should work. I was taking Repronex injections twice a day to make me ovulate this worked.I wish I could tell you that there is a feeling to look for to be able to tell if your pregnant or not but there isn't one. nope, i went back to work after mine. YOu can drive yourself home if you need to. My hubby left his sample and then had to go back to work so i was on my own. The 1st one i took the day off but after knowing it wasnt a big deal with the 2nd one i went back to work afterwards. You are a little crampy tho for the next few days.
All depends on the DH's comfort level if he wants to give the sperm in the Dr's office where the IUI is performed or if he wants to do it at home in a sterile cup and there are some things u need to follow and take it to the lab accordingly within a certain time, stored in a specific way etc. So, once this is done, they wash the sperm in the Dr's office and it can take around 30 mins to 2 hrs and then they do the IUI immediately, unless ur working with frozen sperms.
Hey Girls question about the sperm count after washing. My Dr told me DH had healthy strong strait swimmers, I asked him what the numbers were and his response was, 10!! I was like WHAT????? He said they look at about 10 sperm under the scope and they all looked great, and I had nothing to worry about. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???
