Pap smear and spotting

sometimes the cervix is a little "tender", friable is the correct word, and when scraping cells off with the wodden spatula, it's enough to cause a little spotting, but shouldn't be more than a couple of days..

Dr. Q, just to clarify ... you said "a couple days". Is that like a period? If the bleeding becomes heavier, would that indicate a problem? I did feel some mild pain and cramping after the procedure was done 5 days ago.
