Pain in Vagina during first period after giving birth

So, dr Q, the bleeding has slowed down a little now, but i'm experiencing some pain in my vagina...

I AM using a tampon.. and I did have some small tearing in the vagina.. but it didn't hurt in there when dh and I had sex. Do you think its just leftover soreness?

I'm not super concerned, just concerned enough to ask about it ;)
