Ovulation question

June 16, 2008

Hi, do you think I will be pregnant if I had unprotected sex on June 7 or 8 and my last period was from May 29th, thru June 2nd ?

Hi Jocelyn and welcome to Fertility Ties....pregnancy occurs during your fertile period. The length of your periods is really no concern because that is only the sheading of you lining from your previous cycle. What do I mean by cycle that is not your period that is how many days between periods (not spotting full blood flow when you need a pad and/or tampon). So if you had your period started on May 29th so today you are on cycle 20. How long is your cycle...meaning when is your next period due?

Do you know if you when ovulating at that time via usig opk's (ovaltion predictor kits-you can purchase those at any drug store and/or supermarket). Your most fertile times are 4 to 5 days before ovulation, day of ovulation, and about 24 hours after ovulation. If you were having sex during this time and have no infertility issues and you and your parnter are healthy you have a 20% to 25% change to get preggo....they is with any couple during each cycle.

Good luck and keep us posted? The only way to make sure you are preggo is wait and see if your period comes and if not take a hpt (home pregnancy test) and/or beta (blood test). Then that can tell you if you are preggo.
