Ovulation Predictors & Body Temp while on clomid

I am on my 2nd cycle of clomid-CD3-7, currently CD 7. I am wondering when is the right time to check your body temp each day because I have hot flashes with the meds & ALWAYS seem warm. Also, when is the best time to use an OPT? Do I wait for the body temp to rise or test on a certain CD?

Thanks all! Have never done the OPT's of BBT before. OB gave clomid after cycle skip a month ago, but no real instructions other than BD every other day CD7-??. Problem is according to AF I ovulated later in the cycle so the BD days were already past & we were back to flying blind so to speak. LOL Anyway, maybe this will help as I have a history of irregular cycles, except for a six month period of no skips after a miscarriage & D&C. Now it seems my body has fallen back into old patterns. :(

These hot flashes are normal clomid side effects...You can start checking BBTs around cd9 and watch for the temp elevation...please make sure you check prior to getting out of bed in the am..
