Ovulation Pains...

June 25, 2008

When you start having ovulation pains does that mean your ovulating then? Or about to ovulate in the next 24 hours? I just started getting them and I took my trigger shot at 10pm lastnight. But my IUI isn't till tomorrow morning at 11am which will be exactly 36 hours after my trigger shot. If there a possibility of missing ovulation? Just when I think I have nothing to worry about then I start thinking well gosh should I have the pains already?

Did you take the shot per the Dr's advise based on U/S findings or based on the pain?

I did everything how my Dr. told me to. I just wondered if there was a possibility that I may ovulate sooner than that 36 hour window...?

Based on Ultrasound findings, the pain just started.

Ive read other posts saying you ovulate 36 hrs after the trigger shot. Good Question if you can ovulate earlier, not sure though

I'm calling the nurse at my Drs. office right now just to check, call me impatient but sometimes Dr. Q doesn't respond. :)

Okay she said that normally after the shot you ovulate about 40 hours afterwards. She said it's not common to ovualate this soon after the shot (it will just be 24 hours at 10pm tonight) but with all the big follicles I have she said the pain can be caused from enlargement of my ovaries... I'm just SO nervous!
