Hi Jan you don't ovulate on birth control pills your ovaries on a sleep pattern and the period your get while on the pill is not a true period. The only way to tell if or when you are ovulating is using opk's (ovulation predicator kits).

Yet another question for Dr.Q. About a year ago I was takingortho tricyclene lo. I had a simple ovarian cyst that went away on its own. My dr. said if it came back then I would have to go on a strongr pill. Does this mean I was trying to ovulate on that pill. Does this also mean that I should begin ovulating normaly since stopping the pill?
