It requires a few months of monitoring to be very familiar with your cervical mucous. sometimes, it can be left over semen after intercourse and can be easily mixed up.

How u know ur ovulation is, if u are very regular, count 14 days back from ur next period start date and give or take 2 days thats ur ovulation date. U get the egg white mucous 3-4 days prior to ovulation day. If it stretches 8 cm atleast, then its fertile mucous.

Its very very tough to predict when one ovulates except for an ovulation kit or an Ultrasound.

so, if 22nd June was around 14 days prior to next period start date, then u could have hit a fertile day.

If u truly ovulated on 22nd, 07/3 may be early to pick up, U can get an accurate result around 5th-7th of July.

A blood test can detect 10 days after ovulation and a HPT 12-14 days after ovulation. The key is ovulation date confirmed by an OPK

Also, to ur question abt choosing the gender, the theory of having sex on Ovulation day to conceive a boy is a myth, its not accepted by Drs. U can search the site for Dr Q's answers.

The only proven way for gender selection is by sperm sorting done in an IVF procedure.

XY Sperm(Which make Male baby) swim faster then XX Sperm(Female) but XYsperm(boy) die faster. where XXSperm(Female) Slow but live longer. Having intercourse during ovulation increase the chance of getting boy. TTC is so frustrating. I think I should just relax and let it happen. I've never really had trouble getting pregnant but it usually happens when I'm NOT TTC.. so it would make sense that when I do finally PLAN for it.. I'd be this way! LOL

The First day of my AF was June 6th and the last day of my AF was June 11th/12th and my DH and I BD every other day until the 22nd. I don't really know how long my cycles are.. I'd been on birth control (and I'm not that great remembering to take it) I'd say that I was a 28 - 30 day cycle. So I guess.. my question is do I even have a chance that I hit the correct time to be fertile?

One other question.

I started to do the Temperature thing mid way through (I am SO new at this) and my temperatures were in the 97's until Tuesday Morning and then it was 98.1 and today 98.4. Is that an indicator that I've already ovulated or should I be calling my DH home for a nooner?

Thats a myth and not accepted by Dr's. THe only way is sperm sorting done during IVF to select the baby's gender.

You could have hit a fertile day if your cycles are either 28 -32 days long.

If its >98 F for 4 or more days then you must have ovulated

So if my cycles are not 28-32 then I more than likely did not hit a fertile cycle?

My temps were low and then now in 98. I'm also producing thick, creamy CM.

Are any of these indicators that my ovulation is over?

Okay Hope.. LOL I'm sorry, I have so many questions.

I've been feeling really crampy (Like AF is coming) and it is just this wierd sensation cramping that feels like it goes all the way around my abdomen into my back.. I keep thiking this will go away but it stays. I could be anywhere from 2DOP to 6DPO I honestly don't know.

Is AF type cramping normal? I don't remember this with my 1st or 2nd child.

I have the following symptoms.

Tired, Wierd sensational cramping, twinges (feels like the feeling you get when you first feel baby moving or gas bubbles) emotional, full breasts but not "hurting", the feeling I need to BM and sort of a constipated feeling but I'm not, light headed and/or headaches. I also have bad indigestion and gunky feeling in my throat..

Are these typical post ovulation symptoms? I don't usually feel like this.. or if I do..I haven't paid attention.

My AF isn't due until July 4th or so.. I guess this could be my AF coming?
