Ovidrel + AF

I just took a second shot of Ovidrel (a week after my 1st one) which my RE says is supposed to support my luteal phase. My question is- if my cycle fails will this shot of Ovidrel delay my period? And, approximately when will it be out of my system? Thanks!

Ovidrel usually stays in the system for about 7 days...it should not delay your period, but possibly give you a false positive hpt...the only way you would know is if AF doesn't show 14days after ovulation (which is the normal length and why it shouldn't delay your period)..
