My DH and I got married in october of 2006. We have been TTC since the wedding night. :) After trying for about a year with very irregular periods (would only get my period once everyone 100 days.) We went to the fertility specialist. He recommended that I lose some weight (that would help regulate my cycle) and doing IUI with provera (to bring on my periods), clomid, and HCG injections. All these drugs scared me. Instead of jumping right in to the IUI I decided to lose some weight and try to get into a healthier life style. To date I am down over 30lbs!!!!!
Now that I had lost all the weight, my cycle still never regulated. I still don't get my period unless I take the provera. So DH and I decided that if I didn't get pregnant by the end of 2008 that we would go back to the fertility specialist. In January of 2009 we went back to the specialist and decided to start the IUI process. My hubby needed some additional blood work done and found out that he is a carrier of Cystic Fibrosis therefore we had to go through genetic counceling and more blood work for me. 8 weeks later we found out that I'm NOT a carrier of CF. YAY!
So here we are, doing our first round of IUI. Just finished the clomid, had my HCG shot last night and Monday is the big day, the IUI! We am soo nervous and soo excited at the same time!!!!!
