opk's which one to use?

Baz.. Welcome to the site. Im not sure if they have these kinds or not where u live but the Clearblue easy OPK's are great. They give u a happy face when ur about to ovulate.

U can try ebay to see if they have them on there or not and will ship to u.

I've been using Answer brand OPK's.

I like that they're affordable. You get 20 strips for $20 or under at Walmart.

thankyou ladies iv'e left it a little late to try the internet so im going to go with the clear blue, the ones with the smily face.

im going to pick them up 2morrow ! as i will be on cd12 hopefully they work for me !

it says on the instructions i can use it at any time of day but have to use it at the same time each other day!!!

Baz... No u shouldnt use the OPK's with FMU (first morning urine). The best time to use the OPK"s would be between 10am and 7 pm. I usually test 2 X's a day but u dont have too.

I would test @ 10am and then 5pm just to make sure. LOL!

When u get the + OPK then u should O between 12-36 hours from the + OPK. U should BD that night and the next 2 nights skip a night and then 1 more time. It is also best to try and BD a night or 2 be4 the + OPK to insure that u have some sperm in there waiting on the follicle.

think i will try the first one at 5pm tonite im on cd12 and according to bbt over past few months ovulation was detected cd 15/cd16 !

Baz... Also make sure that u dont drink or urinate 2-3 hours be4 u do the test.

Its best to urinate and then not drink or urinate again until ur ready to test.

This will insure that u get the most accurate result. If u normally O on CD15/16 then yes I would start testing today. But since u have been going by the online calendar then u could be O'ing earlier or later if ur not checking by another form be4 now.

If for some reason u dont get a + OPK this month that doesnt mean that U didnt O just means that u missed it and next month start testing on CD10.

another note about using OPK's.

OPK's detect the ONSET of the LH surge. When you get your FIRST positive, you've detected the surge.

Once you get the positive, you can stop testing. it's only the first positive that matters.

Multiple days of positives does not mean multiple days of ovulation. As Katie said, you will ovulated within 12-36 hours of the first positive and the egg is good for a max of 24 hours once ovulated.

i just tested again n got a circle ! cd13

i have been charting bbt and cm too!

my temps are still averaging out at 36.17- 36.24c i usually get a dip in temp either one or two days before o and then they shoot up to 36.60 but i wanted to use the opk's so i can have an earlier indication to o !
