Hi Guyz,

I went for an UT today,CD 15 and found 1@18mm,1@17mm,2@16mm,2@15mm,2@14mm,2@13mm,2@10mm.

But i only have i big mature follicle,18 mm,my Nurse called, and said that they want to cancel this cycle. But i stressed that i want to go for it,as i said the same during the consultation.Trying for so many years,i dont think that all of them are good eggs /or release at the same time. After a long conversation, she said to go for an IUI tomorrow, without any HCG. But my DH is out of state,as we planned it may happen on wednesday,he booked a return ticket on tuesday evening.

I just want to yous girls to advice me so that i can make a decision by the end of the day.

Should i not take the hcg,if i dont take it,only 1 egg will release,i hope it will. Should i take the hcg,or should i just go for the IUI on wednesday.I cant go on tuesday, even if i want to .

What do you say guys.Should i cancel the cycle,i dont have insurance coverage, trying for 5 years.Do you think,if i take the HCG,do i get OHSS.

Please let me know if anyone had an IUI with so many follies.

Thanks in Advance.

You shouldn't have a problem with OHSS because it usually only happens when you have more than 20 follicles. Taking the hcg trigger would help more follicles to mature and release. A couple of women have triggered with that many follicles and more and did not have any problems including myself.

Unlikely like Kan said for you to get OHSS with the hCG trigger, and as a doc, can only advise that you follow your doc's orders...even if you don't take the hCG shot, chances are you'll still ovulate a few of those eggs...check OPKs and if negative today (monday) and even if positive tomorrow, you'll be OK for the IUI on Wednesday

I wouldn't chance that many follicles, they could mature on u w/the hcg, I'd wait till next cycle to see how many follicles were mature still that hadn't droped & go from there..but that's my opinion. You should always listen to your doctors advice that's why there doctors they know what's best for you.
