Hello, I keep hearing about Evening Primrose Oil for ttc and increase in CM. What do you think of it? I also hear about Preseed, flaxseed and fish (omega)oil. Are any of these any good?

I have been ttc for 6 months after ep with one tube. Just want to do anything that will help me conceive and them swimmers get to my uterus. After my hsg my left and only tube came out open. Thx.!

Thank you. Congratulations! How long did you ttc after your ep and got preggo? With one or two tubes? So you think preseed did it for you? Sorry for the 100 questions :-). Thanks for writing. You know what its like to feel like this.

And no my doctor hasnt advised me to be on any fertility meds. I have taken my bbt and opks and seems like im ovulating fine.

Hi I take fish oil everyday, and I tried preseed last cycle and I wasn't real impressed w/ it. It was super slippery for about 10 minutes then I was Completely dry. But I hear some women swear by it.. Good Luck

I tried Evening Primrose Oil and didn't see a difference...although it's possible I wasn't taking enough. As for Pre-Seed, I say use it if you don't have enough EWCM, but, if you have adequate CM, there's no need. I used it a few months, but actually got pregnant without it (although I did use Clomid).

send a message to Angelfish from this site - she loves EPO and swears by it!!

Hey 1sttime: i quit trying only after trying 3 times shortly after my ectopic, so i was on a long hiatus.

When i decided to try again, it was in December 2007. I took femara and got an hcg shot to increase my odds that my left ovary would ovulate. The second time around, I got pregnant and i am just praying that it's not another ectopic... holding my breath and waiting for my u/s in 1.5 weeks.

If you need anything, please feel free to directly email/message me.

Good luck sweetie, and don't worry about asking questions... glad to help in any way i can.

Hi Math, I know the mercury in fish is not good when ur preg or trying, but some fish is okay such as salmon. And I have read in several fertility books fish oil w/ omega 3 is good to take while ttc. If U heard something Different PLEASE share ur info w/ me. I hope Im not ruining my chances of conception!

Thanks:)

1stTime, i'm sorry i didn't respond more quickly.

Femara is actually a breast cancer drug that was found to aid in fertility. In comparison to clomid, the positives about it is that it has less side effects and less likely for women to get too many follicles (which can lead to multiples).

the hcg shot is given to trigger ovulation once your dr. assesses that you have 1 or more mature follicles.

Sometimes, i don't read through all of the discussions so you can message me directly.

Good luck 1stTime!

Baby Dust to you!
