Took clomid 100 mg CD1-5.
CD5-8 overlap of follistim 150u.
CD9 U/S results were lining 8.8 and only 1 follicle on the right ovary.
CD 9-11 increased follistim to 225u.
CD11 u/s results were lining 10 and still only able to see the 1 follicle on the right ovary. My E2 level today was 375.
My history---ovaries are very hard to find due to location and lots of shading. My right ovary has never produced a follicle in 3 years only the left ovary.
My question is---does the follistim make your E2 level increase?? This is the best that my level has ever been in the 3 years of trying to conceive. This is my 2nd round of injectables.
Also, with a number this high (only on CD11) could there be follicles "hiding" and just not large enough to be seen? This is my last attempt at trying to conceive. IVF & donor egg is just to expensive & these procedures are not covered by my insurance.
My instructions from my RE was to continue same dose today thru Sunday and go for another u/s which will be CD14.
