My Story...

Hello Everyone!! Well my husband and I have been ttc since Dec 06 with a few breaks in between. I never used to get a period when I was younger so in 01 I was finally put on birth control to help regulate my periods. Once I stopped taking it in 06 the periods stopped too. Even though I wasn't having a period my doc said i could still be ovulating (which I didn't fully believe but didn't say anything) After months of doing nothing I was fed up. I was put on provera and clomid...I got my period but nothing else. I was tired of feeling blown off by my doctor so I started seeing a new one this past February. He upped my dosage of clomid and I was finally ovulating. We tried that for another 2 months. One night while bd-ing i experienced and awful pain. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't move, I felt sick to my stomach...it was the worst pain I ever felt in my life. I went to my OB the next day and had an ultrasound done. He found that I had a cyst burst AND there was another one on my left ovary. I was pretty bummed but we talked about doing a laprascopy and cleaning out my tubes all at the same time. So July 1st they went in and drained the cyst. They also checked out my uterus and found 2 polyps on each side blocking my tubes. He pulled those out and then pushed the dye thru, and thankfully, it passed with no problem. We are good to go now. The Dr said there is no reason to go back on the meds. So here I am, its Day 31 and no AF. I was told that the surgery may delay AF but part of me is worried that I'll never get it just like when I was younger. If AF doesn't come by next week I'm going to call the Dr to see what I should do. Is there anyone out there who can relate to any of this? I feel very alone considering most of my friends have had babies or are pg now...no one seems to understand what its like to go thru this.
TTC08..welcome to the site! Sorry to hear that you have been having issues with your doc/period/ovulation and all the rest. I don't know if anyone is reading this but I figured I would add a little bit. Tomorrow will be cd34 and I still have no signs of af coming...I bought an hpt to test with in the am. I guess I have in the back of my mind that it will be - but I guess it's worth a shot, right? I'll just have to go from there...
I have used clomid before and I am trying to tell my self that i had semi blocked tubes before...so now is different. I'm trying to stay positive...it just sucks. But I have some provera still at home and I guess I can take that to get AF to start and then do the clomid. Isn't there blood tests I can do during my cycle to see if I am even oing?

Thank you Angie. This will be my first month actually OFF of clomid. After my surgery the dr said there was no reason why i shouldn't be able to do this naturally. So I'm willing to give it a shot for the first month and just chart everything. But if it looks like nothing is happening I was considering going in and getting blood work during my cycle. I think that taking the Provera is a good idea, and I think that doing Clomid for a few more rounds is a great idea as well. If it was getting you to ovulate its def going to help you, and now that tubes are wide open and all that, I see a pregnancy in your near future :)
I did 5 rounds of Clomid, I was going to have my tubes checked after 2 round of femara if 5 rounds of clomid didnt take, but the 4th did, then miscarried and then the 5th took and now im 23weeks 3days pregnant.
I hope my story helps you more, its pretty detailed in the sense of all the Clomid and appointments and all that.

Thank you so much for the info Jolene. I know I have not been through as much as some others have and I already find myself getting upset and confused. I'm hoping that things work out soon...my dr seems positive so thats what I'm trying to feed off of :) I'm so very happy that you were able to get your bfp...thats just awesome :) Good luck with the rest of your journey. maybe this sounds dumb but it got me thinking today...what if, becuase of my surgery and what not the begining of the month, I ovulated later than normal. So if I was to have gotten pg it would be too soon to tell. Today would be cd39 though. So I'm nervous now that I was told to start taking my provera. I did take a test on cd34 and cd37 and those were negative. Am I just confusing myself now??? idk what to do....
Usually when i have taken the provera I took it for 5 days and got af shortly after. Well this time the nurse told me to take it until my period started (or up to 10 pills) I just took my 6th last night. I feel pretty crampy today so I'm really hoping it starts soon. But I have been getting some awful mood swings this time around on the provera...so I can't wait to stop taking it!!!
I always took 10 pills as well, I did Prometrium but its the same thing basically. I was always told to take all 10, and then AF should come around 3-5days after, and mine usually always came about 3 days after.
if you are pregnant the Provera will not hurt anything at all, I had to take my prometrium through my 12week of pregnancy because my progesterone levels were a little lower that cycle then normal on the Clomid and so they didnt want to take chances.

Well ladies I just thought I'd give you a little update. I received my + opk on cd10. We bd on cd9, cd10, cd11, cd13. So I'm guess I should be about 7-8dpo. I'm not sure if I should be feeling anything right now. I'm very tired and my boobs have an ache in them. I had a lot of CM before and now there isn't alot. idk...not really sure what i'm looking for...but I'm guessing I'm in the 2ww now...
Yeah..my last cycle on clomid was a complete bust! My body became resistant to the last dosage amount (50mg) and my follicles actually shrunk down to 4mm at CD 16. So my RE just put me on Provera for 10 days and I got my visit from AF on Saturday. I start Clomid 150mg tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I really hope that this month works out! Sooooo frustrating!
HI TTC08!! I'm so excited that you got your +OPK!!! When I was at 7-8dpo even 9-10dpo, I wasn't feeling anything!! Maybe sore nipples if I really thought about it and touched them, I could say yeah they were a little sensitive, but not alot. I got a faint faint +HPT on 11dpo and that was b/c I am a POAS addict and couldn't help myself. So don't think you are suppose to feel something now, because some people just don't have symptoms that early and that's ok!! I am about 5w4days preggo and I still feel completely normal. So normal that I took another HPT today to make sure the lines are getting darker, and they are!

akt thank you so much. I hear about all these people getting "symptoms" and what not so I thought this cycle was another bust. I am really hoping you are right and I do get my BFP. I probably wouldn't believe it even if I saw it!!! The plan is to wait until Sunday morning to test. I should be about 12dpo then...so I guess we'll see :)

TTC08- I'm still feeling normal. I have taken those cheapy pregnancy tests like every 2 days and the line keeps getting darker. So that's what's keeping me going. I just can't believe it either. I will feel much better after my appt on Sept 19th. I just wish I didn't have to wait until then to be reassured everything is okay. But I guess as long as the tests say ++ and I'm not having any bleeding, then I guess I'm okay.
I am praying for you and looking forward to your BFP post!!! I got my faint + BFP on a Sunday :) I'll be thinking about you this weekend and please let me know how it goes! But remember too, if it's not + by 12dpo, wait and check again like 14dpo if you can. Some people's HCG isn't high enough at 12dpo to detect a ++. Unless you have a super sensitive test! Wishing you the best sweetie!!!

I hope that when i finally get pg i'll have an easy time like you. None of that morning sickness for me!! haha although at this point i wouldn't even complain if i got it. I'd probably be happy to have it!! I hope the appt goes well on the 19th!! And I will definatly post on Sunday to let you know how the test turned out. I'm starting to have doubts but I guess thats normal after so long of trying. We'll see, I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed!! :)
TTC - I am so sorry you got a -. You really deserve a +. I wish that was how this whole thing worked. But don't get too discouraged yet, you aren't out until AF shows. I was about 3-4 days LATE when I finally got my faint BFP. (Before the m/c) so there is definitely still hope!

Thank you so much akt and holly...i really do appreciate the support. According to a different website I should get af tomorrow. I don't have cramps in my back like i usually do so who knows whats going on. I'll give it a few more days and test again...anything can happen right?

Hi TTC! I'm really praying for you sweetie! You sooo deserve your BFP!!! And I feel it's coming!!! My pregnancy is going well so far. I still am not having any symptoms, so I'm really looking forward to my appt this month. I will be 9 weeks by my appt date on Sept 19, so praying that everything is ok. I was just thinking I would have started having some symptoms so at least make me believe I'm pregnant. I'm sure they will come though.

Hey Tammy...No news really. Took a test on 12dpo and it was a bfn. I didn't use an early pg test though so now I'm just waiting it out to see what happens. AF was supposed to show yesterday. I'm 15dpo today...had some cramps in my lower back and abdomen this morning but now I'm fine. So maybe thats af just waiting to strike!! i was thinking of testing friday morning again if it hasn't started. But i don't want to get bummed out again either :)

Hope you get a BFP and no AF shows. It is such a struggle and is so hard month after month but you will get that sticky BFP and you will be saying lucky you to yourself. Its a wonderful feeling, but for some it just takes time, as it did for us, and I cant say I feel lucky more so blessed and the right timing :)

Your welcome, its the only way I ever saw it going through my TTC journey. I felt if I stayed positive it would happen, and I always said to myself that no matter how hard we try each month, and get the days right each time and do everything perfectly, its all in Gods hands, its his timing, all we can do is give it our best shot and pray that it worked, and pray that its our time. I wanted a 2007 Thanksgiving or Christmas baby, but God had other plans, and is giving me a 2008 Thanksgiving baby instead. No telling why maybe it was we thought we were ready but werent 100%, who knows.

Well I bd with my hubby last night thinking that might help bring af on. Woke up this morning slightly sick to stomach but not spotting or af. I haven't had cramps since Thursday. I am 18dpo today and I plan on taking a test tomorrow morning for sure. If that still comes back neg I'll be calling the dr on Monday for a blood test. I just can't understand why my period wouldn't start on its own knowing that I did o this month....hmmm....
