Greetings;
I have been snooping around this board ever since November 2008. I have read several of your Journeys and have laughed, cried, and found myself routing for everyone to get BFP's. I also found myself waiting for YOUR beta results and praying, hoping wishing for good NEWS.
Here is my Journey:
I am 34 years old, my DH is 47. We have been married for almost 3 years now. I have a son from a previous marriage who is now 14 years old. I conceived him with only 1 ovary after major pelvic surgery (removal of right ovary, tube, tumor, and partial removal of tissue to the left ovary). My DH has no children of his own since he has no sperm count what so ever (azoospermia) He wants children, and treats my son as his own. My DH wants to add 3 other children to our household. I personally only want 1 more, but told him that we could compromise depending on what the future holds.
We will be using frozen donor sperm as a result of my husband's lack of sperm. As for me, I have already seen a RE and have had Ultrasounds, and blood work that all have come back ok. I have had problems with fibroids in the past, however, they have shrunk A LOT after having Uterine Embolization. The RE does not seem to think that it would cause any major problems with conception since the fibroids are not growing in my endometrial cavity where the baby would grow. In addition, there have been some reports showing successful pregnancies after Uterine Embolization.
We will be doing an IUI with donor sperm this month. We have an appointment this upcoming Monday for CD3-4 Ultrasound, and Estrogen Levels. I will also be started on Clomid for days 5-9. Wish us luck !!
