When I was in high school af never showed for me until I was finally but on b/c when I was 17. I had regualr cycles until I went off of it Dec 06 when we started ttc. At the time I really didn't think much about it and went on that way for a few months. Finally my ob put me on provera and 50mg of clomid. I did that same routine for about a year. Nothing ever seemed to change and my doc at the time didn't seem concerned at all. So I decided to switch docters.
In April of 08 he put me on 150mg of clomid. And at the end of that cycle my period started just like it was supposed to. So we decided to do the same 150mg in May. Once June rolled around I had a cyst burst during bding. I went in to have a u/s done only to find out that I had another rather large cyst on my left ovary. We made an appointment for a hysterscopy and a laproscopy for July 1st.
After the surgery I learned that I had two polyps in my uterus blocking my tubes. He was able to pull those out and pushed dye thru the tubes which became open and clear. The cyst on my ovary was also taken out. My husband also had a s/a which was said came out normal. My dr said there was no reason why I wouldn't get pg now.
Unfortunatly things didn't come that easy. I had to take 10 days provera in July/Aug to get a period. I did however get a +opk in Sug which really boosted my hopes...but af never showed. After her being 3 weeks late and multiple - hpts I took the provera again. Af still wouldn't come. I decided it was time to se a specialist.
Oct 2, 2008 I went to a fertility specialist who did an internal ultrasound to find that i have PCOS. (a pretty intense case too) I was pretty shocked since I don't have the typical body image or symptoms that I read about. I was put on prometrium for 7 days. Once af shows I'll have another blood test done along with my dh doing another s/a. Once those results come in we will then be able to decide what the best route for us is.
So here I stand...waiting once again for af. But I know that once she comes I finally be "working" with someone every step of my cycle. That gives me comfort.
I hope to get to know a lot of you and share in each others triumphs and struggles. Baby dust to everyone!!!

I went in for some blood work today since the prometrium hasn't started a period yet. They also sent some away to be tested for PCOS. I just got a call back from a nurse...she said that the blood work results that she does have all look normal. She said that I should be getting a period since my progesterone is still high (9)...but she says its weird that it hasn't started yet. I am to call her when it does, otherwise call her Monday if still no af.
I have another Dr appt set up for the 30th. We'll go over the results of the blood work and s/a. We will then discuss our plan as far as which road we will be taking. I can't wait...
