My Journey
June 08, 2008
Well, my DH and I have ben ttc for about 24 months now, with no luck. I was on the depo shot for 5 years, and got off, and have not used any form of birth control for about 5 years now.
We started seeing an RE in December 2007,and we found out that my DH has low morpholgy but a great sperm count and great motility, we also find out that my FSH levels ar etoo high for my age, I am 28 and my DH is 29. We had our 1st IUI with clomid in April, which did not work. We moved on to May and did another IUI with clomid, which failed also. So, now here we are, our 3rd try, this time with 150iu of Gonal-f injectables, and an ovidrel trigger shot the day before our IUI. I ovulate about cd15 and 16, right now I am on cd 7. If this does not work, mt DH and I are going to keep trying naturally, and pay off some bills, and if I am not pregnant by the beginning of the year, then we are going to try IVF.
Third times a charm I hope!!

Update**
I am now 10dpiui with injections this time. I had my IUI on June 14th and 15th which was cd 13 and 14. I guess I o'd earlier than the last 2 months. I am now in the 2ww, which is killing me. My bbs have been a little sore on the sides ever since the IUI. I hope this is a good thing. AF is due to come between Sunday the 29th, and Tuesday July 1st. I may test tomorrow, but I am not sure, I may wait to see if AF comes or not. The anticipation is killing me and I want to test right now...ugghhh!!

Melissa. My first husband produced ZERO testrone. He literally had NO SPERM count. We did a test study and he had to give himself a shot of gonal F every other day. He was the only one in the study that did conceive. Dylan is 7 1/2 years old. We were told that we probably wouldn't be able to conceive a child on our own or that it would be very difficult. It took 6 months but it was worth everything we had to go through! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!
Sorry, everyone...I have been pretty bummed these last couple of days....AF started about 3 days early for me, on cd26. It has never started that early before, I have been so upset.
It now looks like we are going to try naturally for a few months, and if that does not work we will be going for IVF in November.

oh Melissa, I am soooo sorry to hear the news! I know what it feels like and I can only describe it as someone punching you right in the stomach! ugh! You never know, maybe trying naturally will be the kicker for you..who knows! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband! Good luck and if you need anything..I am just a message away! God bless you!~ :)
Absolutley! I was lucky enough to have a few members doing theirs before me..so I got lucky too!
So, I did want to mention tho..that if you are looking to have a transfer in Oct/Nov..you might want to go and just get your consultation in etc sometime in the next few months..b/c your clinic might have 'up and down time' that way you can get a rough estimate of when you can get in and sometimes clinics have a waiting list.
Good luck, Melissa. Its sooo worth it!
