Hi Dr. Q,

I've done IVF before and got a miscarriage with tripplet. Now I think I'm ready to try it again. How much chance do I have between get pregnant when implanting on myself and on a surrogate?

Welcome JT!

Your prognosis appears really good to get pregnant on your own with IVF again, and a surrogate shouldn't necessarily be considered at this time as implantation does occur with you (unless there's something else very significant with your uterine history), and next time consider transfering fewer embryos to avoid triplets..

Hi dr. Q,

thank you for replying my last post and thanks to Debbie who introduce me to this site.

I'm 40 going 41 next month. I dont consider myself "OLD" because I can do a lot of things women in their 20's can do. but people keep talking about "aged women" when they say about unable to conceive or fertility problem. my last IVF was 2 years ago. I started clomid X5 in 2004. then tried IUI X1. then IVF X4. the 1st IVF i got pregnant with the tripplets. but they died after 8 weeks of pregnancy. my fertility doctor suggested a D&C and rest for 1 month and started the next and next without success. at that time I got tired of mood swing and the cost, I stopped until now. I think I'm ready to start again but still very anxious. Why do you think my eggs didnt stay in my uterus for those of later tries?
