Multiples

September 22, 2007

Dear Dr.

I knew taking clomid increase you chances by 10% of having multiply birth but does Glucophage have anything to do with that and does women who take a higer dose of clomid have even greater chances of concieving mulitiple I am on 1500mg of Clomid 100mg of clomid and 100mg of euthroxy for Hypothyroidism I really prefer a singelton because multiples increase your chances of misscarriage

Sorry 1500mg of Glucophage I meant

Hi Paula,

That's a good dose of glucophage and Clomid does increase twins (glucophage doesn't really do this), you can always talk to your doc to see if you ovulate on 50mg of Clomid to try and decrease the risk of twins...and you can read more about PCOS pregnancy rates by searching this site...

Thank you Dr. I was on 50mg last year and did not ovulate so this time around he decided to try 100mg so I am just praying and hoping all work out
