missed period&spotting

I did not get my periods since 3 months , i have pcos , but this time i did not take any medicines to enduce bleeding , my preg tests are negative , but now i have abdominal pain and only on its more on left side ...but i am getting spotting also... what could be the cause of it . i also have pain in my back and legs...
