misscarriage / test to be run

I misscarried last 2-27-07@ 11wks. no heartbeat,(had D&C) periods started back like clockwork 28days later. misscarried again on 6-5-08 @5wks.no(D&C)(early misscarriage)hormones were back to normal by 6-13-05. i bled for 5days and then spotted here and there and now on 6-22-08 having full blown period! confused it has not been long enough to have a period, but my doc says mark calendar it could be but i may be irregular for a while. How long? what test should he do? i dont want to keep miscarrying!!!!!!!!!!! I am very fertile- fisrt time my husband and i had unprotected sex i was pregnant, he just got home from iraq 1st of may and i was pregnant by the end of may, why wont they take? why does this keep happening? what test could i ask my doctor for? i feel like he is not doing all he could. please any advice will be helpful.

Hopefully Dr.Q will respond to your question. It is unfortunate that you miscarried 2x. Sorry for your loss. I have been through the same 1 time. Give Dr. Q and others a chance to reply. My doctor didn't do any tests when I miscarried because it only happened 1x. Do you know why you lost the 1st? When I had my D&C my doc. told me my placenta didn't develop properly (extremely rare). Do you know? And, has your doc. advised you to wait to try again. I know I had to wait 2 months before they wanted me to try again to build my lining.

Trisha, Welcome, and you should ask your doc for a recurrent miscarriage work-up, which involve several blood tests to make sure you're not thrombopilic, have antiphospholipid antibodies, karyotype abnormalities, uterine abnormalites, and/or endocrine abnormalities...your Gyne or better yet RE will be able to look up all of these tests for you so that you can hopefully have a successful pregnancy later on...I have posted all of these tests on this site that can be searched..

Your chances if all of these tests are normal are still >60%..
