miscarriage

August 14, 2008

My husband and I have been trying for about 5 years to have another baby. We have a daughter who is 7 now. My period was almost 6 weeks late and usually it is always on time. I didnt want to take a pregnancy test and see a BFN so I deciced to wait. Two days ago I started bleeding really heavy more then I ever have in my life so I believe I was pregnant and might be having a miscarriage, What do you ladies think? I have a dr. appt. later today.

I have a job where I have to pull out about 900 chairs in the morning. I work in a casino I have been doing it for about 5 months. My question is could I have caused this miscarriage by pulling out all those heavy chairs or do these things just happen. I am heartbroken right now over all this.

thanks for your help

Leann, without getting a positive pregnancy test it is hard to say that you are having a miscarrage. I hope your doctor can shed some light on this and is able to give you a definite answer. Also, your period being heavy is normal if your cycle was 6 wks late. Your lining had a longer time to build up. Are you passing any clots or tissue? Are you having lots of cramping?

Leann, I think its ok to lift upto 10 lbs or so. We were moving from our then home to another place, and I did a lot of lifting. I used to lift heavy boxes and suitcases etc it seemed to be ok. Make sure u dont overdo anything best to be safe than sorry.

What Kan says is true. Infact u can take a test if you really want to know whats going on, now if u were truly 6 W u would have HCG left in ur system. But thats a tough thing to do :(

Hi Leann,

fully agree with everyone and best to see an RE to help you conceive

Thank you all for your help. I just got back from the doctors and she did a pregnancy test and it was negative. She said if I had been pregnant the Hcg would have been higher.

In a way I would have not happy but feeling good to know that at least I could have gotten pregnant after so many years of trying.

I wish we could afford to go to an Re but my insurance doesnt cover anything.

I am actually looking for a second job right now to maybe try paying for an IUI after my husband is tested I have even applied at fast food and no one will hire me it is hard out there.

If that doesnt work then we are done and I will always be grateful to God for giving me my beautiful 7 year old.
