Siren,
I'm not pregnant but I'm taking the new Chantix drug to help me stop smoking, so that I have a better chance at conception. It's not a miracle drug, but I know it works for me. It's generally a 3 month drug & I've gone from almost 2 packs a day to 7 cigs a day & I'm not even through the first month of treatment yet. I looked on the box & as any medication, it tells you to consult a physician before taking this medication, if you are pregnant, so if you want to quit, phone your obgyn & ask if they think that this medication woul help you kick your habit, without hurting your blessing :)I wish you luck & congratulations on your pregnancy :)

Oh I'll have to ask my dr about that drug, I was on wellbrutin for 6 weeks, it definitely helped but it made me crazy, I was spaced out during the day and couldnt sleep at night. So I stopped taking it...I am also ttc:::Ive had 2 miscarriages in the past 2 months. I know smoking plays a role but im sure it wasnt the 100% cause of the miscarriages.

Miscarriages are caused primarily by fetal chromosomal abnormalities, and unfortunately we can't control this. There really isn't anything else we can offer, simply try to live as "healthy" as a lifestyle as possible. I would simply recommend you take prenatal vitamins at this time, and think this can help you tremendously..
