I had my mirena put in on aug 29th of this year. I started my period on sept 5th and i am still bleeding. Not spotting but a constant heavy bleeding. What should i do?

I have had my iud for almost a year now and i have had a regular period every month until june. I know that the iud can stop you from having a period, but mine werent lighter they were regular. I have had a really bad headache and my lower back has hurt just like it did with my daughter. i have also had really bad heartburn and i have never had heartburn except when i was pregnant with my daughter. I took a home test and it was negative is it possible that i am pregnant?

This is not unusual and a side effect of the Mirena IUD...Let your doc know
