thanks! It's really different coming from someone professional rather than reading it from people's experience. I'll do that!
Menstrual cycle question?
July 23, 2007
Hi! I'm Nette! I've been irregular since i started my period. I would like get it twice a year. I haven't gone to the doctor, since, i have no one to accompany me, my mom's so busy during those times. As I was getting older, my cycles would come like 5 times a year and then in college it would come like every other month. I have a husband now and TTC for a year and 7 months now. I haven't gone to the OB yet 'cause i am afraid of what they might do...lol!!1 i was told that they would evaluate me and my husband and do some test. We have a company doctor and i started seeing her for free consultation and she is an OB and she advised me to have a transvaginal ultrasound and have my husband undergo perm count. do you think i might be a candidate fr PCOS? what must i do? I really wanted a baby badly. thanks!
Hi Nette,
the more streatch you see on the ewcm, the closer you are to ovulation. Always difficult to say when it can happen, but I always recommend OPKs to know when it actually will happen. You can learn more about the menstrual cycle by searching this site and/or typing in the word "pituitary" and finding a posted I started. Good luck, and keep us posted!

Hi Goldie,
If you've been trying for years and want to get "pregnant fast", then would strong recommend you find an RE near you, and can do so using this site and please comment on your visit. Your RE can offer a variety of treatments depending on your diagnosis. Good luck, and keep us posted...

17-OH Progesterone
Free or Total Testosterone (if excess hair present, not necessary to draw)
transvaginal ultrasound to evaluate PCO ovaries
depending on other factors may draw up a glucose/insulin results before and after taking a sugar test (OGTT)
Remember, you need per present criteria 2 of 3 criteria to classify as PCOS (not or poor ovulator, increased hair or testosterone levels (DHEAS can be used, and/or PCO ovaries on ultrasound)
Talk to your Ob, I think that after a few tests and treatments (you may just need pills) you will be Ok in starting your family
