Meds in the fridge or not??

Wow, great question. My follistim was kept in the fridge...and lupron was kept room temp..as well as progesterone and novarel. I took repronex which must be like your menopur and that was also room temp. I'm wondering if you should take those out. I hope Dr. Q chimes in.

the progesterone definitely should not b in the fridge and i believe the lupron needs 2 b refrigerated once the vial is opened. i remember putting both the menopurand the powder in the fridge

Rule of thumb

Anything in powder form is very stable at room temperature

Liquid items (not oils necessarily), especially when opened, should be refridgerated

In the end, if there's ever any doubt, err by putting it in the fridge then taking them out

Ok DR's- aor Ladies- So my Lupron ( a liquid) is unopened right now, but once I start the med on Monday, it should be put in the fridge??

I was told to keep my lupron at room temp after opening, Caryn..and it worked b/c I'm prego :)

Oh, I keep Lupron in the fridge and Dr. Q also suggested any liquid , especially after opening should be kept in the fidge. Good luck!!!

Jenstar- My lupron is at room temp I noted the temp on the box.. room temp is fine :)

Make sure once you take it out of the fridge you let it come to room temp before injecting!!

how strange, my box says to keep in under 77 so I keep it in the fridge but mine is the generic so maybe it is different. I took mine late tonight do you know if that will make a real difference? It was about 2 hours late. THANKS

JenStar- Mine also says 77 degrees.. we have AC in the house and its not that hot.. so I kept it out
