I know ya'll must think I am some kind of freak. I was reading a post on here about a man that just went infertile. What would cause a man to just go infertile? My husband will be 30 in Oct. He isn't too old is he?

ususally its cuz of certain medications that the guy takes. Shelly's (on this site) DH had a very normal sperm count and went on some meds and ended up with a 0% sperm count! He went on Clomid and they had wonderful twins right now. Shoot her an email and im sure she would be happy to help and give you some ideas.

Too old for what jan? Too old to have a baby or too old to go infertile?

Does he ejaculate when you all have sex? Im sure he is fine, stay active and healthy - take a multivatamin and he is golden! :)

also just like in women can have problems with the hormones and such. Very commone. Yes it can happen to anyone no matter of age, color, country, and background. Infertility is not a woman's issue it's a increasing factor on the male side. Just like in women with menopause male's sperm does lower and testorone levels and other hormone levels can lower and increase (for ex fsh)...noone is safe when it comes to infertility.

Sperm is regenerated every 72 days, so even though your husband is 30, his sperm is only 72 days old. This is why men can still reproduce into their late 70's. The things that will cause a guy to immediately become infertile are chemotherapy, a tragic accident to the testicles, testosterone therapy, radiation exposure... etc... The best thing to do is to check a semen analysis.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I don't know why I worry so much about this. Maybe because my grandmother (mother's adoptive mother) couldn't have children, infertility has always been something that I was aware of.
