I also read that male infertility is many times due to genetic factors and there is no cure for this. How common are these genetic factors and are there any outward symptoms of these? I hope someone can ease my fears.
My DH has male factor infertility that is not cureable. Unfortunately that can be the case a lot of the time and there are no symptoms. But as long as there is one sperm they can do IVF w/ICSI. That is what we did and now we have a beautiful 2 year old daughter.
The doctors think he was born that way. Something about a missing Y chromosome that is common with low sperm counts. And it is also hereditary, his uncle had the same exact problem and never fathered children (technology just wasn't there).
