low estrogen

What would cause a low estrogen level even if doing injectables? Is there anything that you would recommend as a supplement to increase my estrogen to help increase my chances of becoming pregnant? I was placed on Yaz for one month to allow my ovaries to rest and hopefully increase my estrogen level when being stimulated in a couple of weeks. I have never heard this--

simply going up on the gonadotropins should resolve the low estrogen issue
Some docs do place their patients on bcp prior to starting injectables, and ok to do
