Looking for cycle buddies...going with IUI this month (Sep 2009)

Hi Kim:) Well, i'm in as a cycle buddy! I actually am going in this morning at 11am for my first IUI..I want to be excited & hopeful but I'm tired of the disappointment as well!

My long story short: 35 yo, trying to conceive for a year now, hubby had vasectomy reversal & went well, we have unexplained infertility, 2 cycles on femara & didn't get past 15mm & only 1 follicle at that, so did clomid this month, again only 1 follicle but 17.9 yesterday on cd14 so in for 1st IUI today...no idea what to expect! I'm just hoping since my husbands sperm takes the bait, so to speak!!

As for HSG, I had one done and wasn't bad at all...Ive read some people have rough time but I just felt some uncomfortable cramping for a minute or two when the dye was shot in but otherwise no other symptoms:) I wish you the same luck with yours!!

This is my 4th cycle. I'm 27yo and have PCOS for many years now. My last 3 cycles I didn't produce ANY follicles and boy was I stressed! I was so scared that it would never work.

Well today I went to the RE and they said I have 3 follicles 18mm, 18mm and 16mm so i'm ready to trigger tonight I just can't beleive it... I hope it works but if not at least I have hope now.

I have been taking 150mg of Clomid and Bravelle

Thanks for the advice on the HSG, I have heard such extremes on both sides - but hoping for the best.

hey gals, I have a quick que on IUI cost - our plan does not cover it and our DR is chargind $270 for both the sperm wash and IUI. Does that sound about right? Seems reasonable to me....

you are on clomid and bravelle. what is bravelle? I have not heard of that before.

Is Bravelle the trigger shot? Also, was this your first month on 150 mg ... or did you not respond on 150 mg before this? I just did 50 mgs and it didnt work at all (my Day 21 is 0.7) and BEFORE Clomid it was 0.9 soooo, Im thinking I will need more than 100 mg.

Im wondering if I should beg for 150 mg or not?? lol
