Summer, I hope your leg cramps go away. It could be worse since you are on bedrest, but I would call me doc.

Oh honey.......I would get them so bad at night! I woke up screaming in pain one night and my dh jumped up and started putting on his clothes thinking it was time to go to the hospital!!! Keep hydrated! That's the best thing and just maybe get your man to just move your legs for you every now and again. I know you can't walk around so that might help. My dh is a PT. I will ask him if there is anything that you can do or that you man can do to help you. Hugs!

Thanks everyone!! I drink lots of water during the day..Maybe it is just the bed rest..and not being mobile..so i will try to get my finace to do some boot leg PT on me at night..LOL

I get them at night- I never use to be a stretcher before- and now each time I get up, I stretch for some reason- and since I Get up like 4-5 times per night I am always stretching. I read online somewhere that if you stretch during pregnancy- do not point your toes, it causes muscle cramps- like charlie horses. That has helped me since then.

Maybe have some gatorade before bed too :)

Good luck- oh those girls are really giving you a run for your money! LOL

You can say that again Lori..the funny thing is that the last 3 u/s that i have had baby B has had her legs closed. Now we only got the gender confirmed on her once. And everytime that i go in she has her legs closed..(she is gonna be mommies good girl LOL) My mom says oh lord what if its a boy!! and i sad just my luck it will be a boy....LOL...Now baby A is the wild one she moves and has her legs spread wide...OH LORD...My finace says he is gonna have to get a gun..LOL...but i hope she is still a girl..All this stuff I got if it is a boy he is gonna love pink..LOL..And my soon to be MIL says that they told her that my fiance was a girl up until he was born isn;t that strange..

August 29, 2008

My DH said the same thing- he said Ill be home when Im done at the gun shop the day we left the sono and they said we think its a girl... and might I highlight WE THINK- I still have not gotten a 100% confirmation! Each time she has put her hand in the way, or closed her legs so tight they couldnt see- OH MY! Shes a diva already! I think she would get along with your little wild B! LOL

Oh my- I cannot wait to meet these little girls! NOt much longer now!

Summer I have been getting awful leg cramps also. On Monday morning when I woke up and stretched my right calf cramped so bad it felt like my muscle was being ripped off. I was in so much pain that I almost passed out. DH was freaking out because he didnt realize what was wrong. Honestly it was like I was having a seizure or something and you are in so much pain you can't even speak....all you do is moan and moan. Now, all week I have been having a hard time walking because my calf is still so sore. Honestly, it feels like the muscle ripped. I am so sorry to hear that you are getting these cramps too...no fun...I know that one from experience! For me it is always my right leg more than my left too for some reason!

August 29, 2008

My right leg too Liane- HOW WEIRD! And it is sore for days and days afterwards... ugh they suck! But this is all worth it-

August 29, 2008

Yes it is worth it Lori..it suck doesn't it Liane..My leg cramps are all day cramps I guess because i lay down so much. One time like when i was five months they sent me to the hospital for a doppler study to make sure that i did not have a blood clot in my right calf..It is not fun...

August 29, 2008

its very common - i used to get them in the morning when i would stretch b4 i got up, they are the worst feeling things ever! I feel for you - they do say that potasium helps so the banana idea was a good one.

Take care!!

When I would get the leg cramps during both my pregnancies the doc told me it was because of a lack of potassium and calcium...

August 29, 2008

I would eat bananas but I am allergic to them. When it comes to calcium there is no way that I am lacking. I drink at least 2 litres a day of milk plus have been eating yogurt on top of that plus my prenatal pill...

Summer,

I get those too! Mostly in my feet and calves. And boy do they hurt! Drink plenty of water and gatorade. I have been drinking gatorade every since they started and it helps alot! But dont worry, they are totally normal!

Has anyone experienced carpel tunnel during pregnancy? I have it and it totally sucks. My fingers on my right hand are always numb and I can hardly pick up a pen and at night I need to keep it iced or I will wake up in the middle of the night in excrutiating pain!

August 29, 2008

Bananas aren't the only thing high in potassium (strawberry and other fruits are also) becareful drinking to much gatoraid it can increase your chances of having preeclampsia (sry about the spelling)

Sometimes Maria my hand and fingers feel like they are tingling and that is the most annoying feeling. It can be bad at night when you wake up and your hand hurts but at the same time almost has no feeling...weird!
