Thanks Dr.Q. I thought also that they may be follicles since it was about a week before I expected to ovulate (today or tomorrow!)...but was still nervous about them.
Large cyst on left ovary
July 27, 2008
I have had two ultrasounds to see follow a cyst on my left ovary which has remained 7cm for the 4 months I've been following it...at the last visit there was also two cysts (2cm each) on my right ovary.
The doctor suspects I might have endometriosis based on several symptoms and that my mother had it. But as of yet has not suggested a laporascopy. I have been trying to get pregnant since March. I ovulate pretty regularly but have had spotting before and after ovulation. Should I be concerned? Is it dangerous for me to try to get pregnant? I probably won't meet with the doctor about my last ultrasound for another month or two.

The 2cm cysts may actually be follicles that will release eggs for ovulation, since you only mentioned this once..
The 7cm cyst is of more concern...however, if your doc has classified this as a "simple" cyst...then chances are you've always had this and may not be of any consequence...otherwise, investigation may be warranted with Laparoscopy (which at that point a check for endometriosis can be done)
If a simply cyst, or if you have endometriosis, little to no risk in getting pregnant
