Good Afternoon

I have a question regarding a known donor. I am currently a patient at East Coast Fertility and I will be going thru a donor cycle…God willing. My donor is a healthy 21yr old.. but she is overweight 5'6 265lbs. Will this be an issue?

Sorry but one more question. I have another candidate who is 29 with irregular periods, how will they know if she can be a donor if she has irregular periods?

Please advise

Egg Donors' Body Mass Index must be between 18 and 29 because overweight Egg Donors' health and egg quality may be at placed risk when taking medications necessary for an egg donation cycle. Please visit the Centers for Disease Control website to determine your BMI.

For the 29 year old, she would have to go through bascially an IVF process to retrieve the eggs, right? Is this done before or after a person is put on the donor list. Irregular periods shouldn't be a problem since her cycle will be regulated with medication.
