Just started clomid

Will after the lost of my son last yr at 21 weeks due to a car accident I've been having problem trying to concieve.Soooo my doctor on the 14th gave me 50mg of clomid to start if I get my cycle next month.My question is what's the % rate of this drug actually working and some of the side-effects.I'm 31 yrs old,I do have a 12 yr old from a prior relationship but hubby has no kids and he's soon to be 40.Any advice you can provide with on this drug would be great!Thanks

Dr Q had posted the below abt success rates on Clomid.
When periods are irregular, Clomid pregnancies are pretty good (assuming a normal standard pregnancy rate of 20-25%/month) because most get close to this, and most get pregnant before 6 months...Good luck and keep us posted..
Regarding the side effects, many women experience a lot of different thing..Type 'Clomid side effects' in the search box on top of this page and ull find a ton of posts on what women experience and im sure they will respond to this post as well.
