Jamie's journey...the beginning, or the end? We'll find out!
September 21, 2008
My name is Jamie, but my family calls me "James". My BF and I have been TTC for almost a year, during which I was finally diagnosed with PCOS, which I already knew for years. Once I was diagnosed my doctor put me on Metformin. He also prescribed Clomid which thankfully, I had studied on my own and knew what it was and what it was used for, because he basically wrote the script and sent me on my way. Needless to say I have since found a new doctor that went over my history, and started a new plan. Clomid for 3 cycles, if no pg then next thing is LAP to look for endo. If after that, still nothing we'll go for the HSG. I do ovulate on my own and have regular cycles, which was determined through progesterone/estradiol blood test last month. So the next 3 months will determine our TTC journey. This could be the end, or just the beginning. I also started charting last cycle and was pleased to see the biphasic pattern with no medical intervention!!
I should also mention that my boyfriend has 4 kids, which we have full time, so we know there's no problem on his part!! We're ready for one (or two! Twins are on both sides of our maternal family) of our own!

Thanks Typhani-
Good luck to you too, hopefully we'll both get our bfp's soon! I just called the DR's office to ask if I should continue this cycle with Clomid again since last month I didn't O...he's in surgery so I'm waiting for a call back. I do normally O on my own though but I need an extra little boost. We shall see!

You're right Typhani, I got a call back from the nurse and she said she spoke to the doctor who said to continue on with the Clomid. So I will be starting in about 2 days now (since it's almost tomorrow). I just hope I will O this time, I will def use OPK's and most likely have the 21 day blood draw. Wish me luck! Good luck to you all!
Oh my. I will never understand why couples who are so ready for babies and can care for and love so much have a hard time conceiving or can't. Then there are the irresponsible party girls or teens with their one night stands that results in unwanted pregnancy. Then they don't take care of themselves and are not even aware of what a miracle it is.
Sorry just had to vent a little. Thanks recurrent...good luck to you this cycle. Hope everything works out for you this time!

oh sorry, didn't see that question...I don't think so, HcG is a completely new hormone in your body, some women react differently to different levels of hormones. Morning sickness is the first sign for a lot of women, and sometimes the REASON why they test...so this is def. a good sign!! I'm wishing and hoping this is it for you!!
