IVF Treatment again

June 14, 2008

Hi there,

I wanted to comment again on my recent IVF cycle. Is it possible to have felt implantation cramping two years ago with my successful cycle but nothing this time? Also, given our age (me, 30, husband, 32) are the percentages in our favour? I have always taken my basal body temperature and Friday morning (the day after day 5 transfer, it was 98.7 and this morning 98.7 as well. When I was pregnant before with twins (we lost one at 9 weeks) and when I napped in the afternoons my temperature was also consistently 98.7. Today, when I woke from my nap, my temp was 98.2. Is it possible that until today (2 days post transfer) my body was aware that there were 2 fertilized embryos in there but maybe the drop in temps indicates an inability to implant? With 2 cavitating morulas, grade 2, what do you think are odds are that we can get pregnant again? Thanks so much for your advice.

It is possible not to feel "implantation cramps" and be pregnant...

Pregnancy rates vary primarily according to age (great in your case) quality of embryos transferred, etc...Most would say that given that you had blastocysts transferred, most likely about 40-50% pregnancy rate...
