IVF Question

georgia, I was only put on progesterone..but my IVF failed :(

I was on both estrogen(pills and patches) and progesterone.

Hi caryn I was so disappointed for you, I have been following your story. I am in a similar situation with secondary infertilty, and I have no other way to desccibe it as it just Sucks!

Kan thanks I may have to ask Dr Q why some docs do both and why some just do progesterone.

most, if not all RE's will put you on estrogen and progesteone after a cycle of IVF (after the transfer)

you didnt take estrace pills after the IVF jen? Im not even sure what they are for but i thought it was just normal protocal?

No, I took an antibiotic (tetracycline) , progesterone and something called Medrol (help with inflammation) and that was it. I will have to look up estrace and see what it does.

I haven't yet had my IVF (going for egg collection on Friday) but they have told me I will be having progesterone pessaries after egg transfer.
