IVF or IUI

Since I have had 3 failed IUI's only 1 with injectables, my DH and I are considering moving on to IVF. Even though my CD 3 FSH levels are 3.3, I am concerned about my egg quality. I am currently on BC to get rid of my cyst. Would it be easy to move onto a IVF cycle or would I have to wait? Also I have heard about IUI cycle switching to IVF because of too many follicles. Is the egg quality the same as a normal IVF cycle since the same medication protocol is not used?

Highly recommend IVF especially after these failures, and should be easy to move quickly into a cycle...your egg quality we hope should be good and can be visualized under the microscope...

you wont know what you egg quality unless you go thru IVF so they can look at your eggs under a microscope. I would say to move along to IVF, better sucess rates and you will know more of what is going on.

I was on the same meds for stimulation during my IUI an dIVF, just more of the meds for the IVF since they wanted more follicles. Plus you end up having diff meds after the IVF stuff.

I am 33 and already have 2 children with absolultey NO issues with conceiving them, 10 years ago tho.

The IVF cycle is a 2 month thing the 1st time around - ou start meds on day 21 and wait for Af then around day 3 of that cycle they will test your blood and send you for ultrasound then start you on the stimulation meds.

Its a long cycle and a lot more involved then the IUI so know that going in. you will need to be off of work the day of the egg retrevail and most docs have you on a 4 day bed rest after the fertilized eggs are put into the uterus.

Good luck to you and DH.

How old are you and DH.

i would say go for other iui with injectables, than going for ivf.there is no greater chances in ivf than iui,
