so, today we went in, and it turns out, my eggs never really got "into the groove." i only produced three good eggs. my estrogen levels never even got to 500. and my doctor only gave us a 25% live birth chance.

we decided to cancel the extraction, and try again.

i understand everyone is different. i can only hope that by doing things differently next time, i will get different results.

Missy-How old are you? A 25% chance can actually be good depending on your age. Anyway, sorry about the cancellation. Going through all of that and having to quit before retrieval must be devastating. Hopefully, you RE has learned a lot about your body and its response and will be able to come up with a better protocol next time around that will allow you to produce a greater amount of eggs. How long do you have to wait before beginning a new cycle?

hi,

I'm 38.

and i did ask my doctor if he had a plan if we had to do it again, and fortunately he does. we will begin again my very next period. and hopefully aim for an August extraction.
