hi, doctor or ladies

im going to bee doing ivf soon... when i went to my ivf consultation my doctor talked to me about the ivf she also said that she recomends to trasfer 1 egg cause of my age and cause i only have little problems like i dont have one of my tubes and i have irregular periods but i really want to trasfer 2 eggs cause i want to have more chances of conceiving do you think they will let me trasfer 2 back even tho my doctor recomended only 1????? and also she mention that i was going to be on bcpills for 21days and after the bcpills i was going to be on injectibles for 2weeks and she said after that it was the retreval so i just wanted to know if this is how ivf really works or does it take more time and more medications thank you.....

Garcia, my doc had a guideline for how many embroys transfered. If we had 7 or more eggs, he recommended 1 and if less than 6 he would do 2. In the end, the decision was ultimately up to US as the patient. We did do two, and we were given a 70 % chance of singleton and 30 % chance of twins..and its just one.

Yes bcp for 21 days is about right..mine was 28..they use it for timing. And once you get af, yes its roughly 2 weeks of injections...give or take depending on your response...
