HI DOCTOR Q OR LADIES OUT THERE, WELL I HAVE AN APPOINMENT WITH MY FERTILITY DOCTOR ON THE 14TH IM GOING TO TELL HER I WANT TO DO IVF CAUSE I ALREDY HAS A FAILED IUI SO ILL SEE WHAT SHE TELLS ME ANYWAYS MY QUESTION OR I SHOULD SAY WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW LONG DOES THE WHOLE IVF PROSSES TAKES AND DO I NEED TO BE ON MY PERIOD TO START OR HOW DOES IT WORK I DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH BUT NO LUCK CAN YOU PLEASE HELP THANKS SO MUCH.

To answer your question, there are a few different protocals for ivf. Mine was that I had to go on bcp first..so then I had to wait for af. In total from bcp to ret/transfer time was about 6 wks. I think Carolyn's was less than that. Depends on your 'up time' at your clinic too.
