IUI with ObGyn vs. RE (Infertility specialist)

Maria... there are some OB/GYN's that handle some of the fertility part.

I would deff do go a RE and get the IUI done. RE's have much more experience and can offer alot of differnet things.

As for me.. my OB/GYN doesnt do anything with fertility so I have to see a RE.

Thank you Katie, for me going to RE means that they are going to order numerous tests again which I don't want to go through at this point. I have a regular period and positive OPKs every month so i think minimum medication and IUI should work for us, my DH does not have any major issues either... so we will see, might still need to go to RE

Maria... has ur DH had a S/A done? What tests have u had done?

yes, Dh had S/A done, everything turned out normal except the Acid Level was a little bit high. I had bllod work done which was good, ultra sound showed few small cysts which doctor said i could be borderline PCOS but nothing else conformed it. I'm taking Metformin. So i think Chlomid and IUI should work

Maria.. how u had a HSG done to see if ur tubes are open or blocked?

have u ever been pregnant be4?

I'm ready to do HSG before IUI but I do not want to do any other tests for now and I've never been pregnant before. Also, when the tubes are blocked there are other issues that come up but I do not have any issues.
