it is not normal to get a period this early, and this can be due to a few different situations assuming your iui was timed appropriately.

it may not be your period, but some breakthrough bleeding is what we call it. You may not have enough Progesterone (called a luteal phase defect) and would recommend you get some form of either vaginal micronized progesterone or intramuscular progesterone.

it could be bleeding from intercourse (please make sure your PAPs are upto date and normal, and if not, consult your doc). it could also be that if they used any type of instrument during the IUI (was it very painful and did you see the doc manipulate your cervix with a metal instrument?) then it may be some bleeding from performing the iui.

In any case, the embryo doesn't actually fall into the uterine cavity from the fallopian tubes until around the 6th day postovulatory...so believe it or not, the bleed may not be affecting much at this time, but would recommend you consult your Ob or RE tomorrow.
