Is this my period so soon after my Mirena IUD removal??

I JUST had my mirena removed on Tuesday and today (two days later) I woke up to bleeding. I only spotted the entire time I was on mirena (which was about 8 months). Now I am bleeding pretty heavy and am cramping. I can't believe this could possibly be my period so soon. (even though it is just like my periods used to be) Is this just normal? Is the crazy stomach twitching normal also? Any help would be SO GREATLY appreciated. :) THANKS!

I did call my doc (as we are TTC) but have not had a return call yet.
